“formidable candidate” Michael Skupin may run for Senate.
Michael, a Republican, said he’s “giving [a run for Senate] a lot of thought.” He made his comments at a $1,000 a plate Republican fund-raiser in Michigan where he and White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card were the guests of honor. Gov. John Engler said at the dinner, “Senator Skupin sounds good”; Engler has reportedly been unable to find any Republican to challenge democratic Sen. Carl Levin. And Colleen thought she made it after landing a role in a Rob Schneider movie.
