In an interview with CNN about Survivor 2, Mark Burnett comments on the cast (“I went out of my way to deliberately not choose a new Rich, a news [sic] Rudy, a new Sue.”), how the game plays this time around (“The pre-strategies really didn’t play out. And it was pretty much the same politics and conniving as year one.”), and NBC’s decision to extend Friends by 10 minutes to compete with the show (“I think that they are doing exactly the right thing.”).
