Aborigine consultants say they were “underpaid” and exploited by the Survivor production.
(warning: the story reports on a few possible spoilers, including contestant activities/challenges.) Two consultants hired by the Survivor 2 production crew to say they were “underpaid”—given just $200 a day instead of the $2000 they expected. Members of the Warungnu tribe, they were hired to teach the contestants how to survive eating native food, but were asked to dress up in native outfits and explain their skills to the cameras instead. When they got their checks, it was far less than they expected, especially considering their expanded duties.
