Rupert Boneham starts a record label for reality stars

Rupert Boneham, the tie dye-wearing former Survivor cast member who gets $10,000 per appearance, is starting his own record label.

It’s called I Saw You On TV, and Rupert “started the label to put the spotlight on unsigned artists. Specifically, he’s tapping into the talent pool created by reality TV who have not only the skills but also the personality and familiar face to connect with the public,” People reports.

Three records will be released in May, one of which focuses on reality stars, and they “will be supported by artist tours and more volumes will be announced throughout the year,” People says. And considering that American Idol can’t even sell records or fill tour venues after five months of on-air promotion, this should be wildly successful.
