As we reported earlier this week, and as the Internets have been buzzing about since late last year, Amber Brkich and Rob Mariano are officially a team on The Amazing Race 7. Executive producer and series creator Bertram van Munster says “They’re a very strong team, very competitive,” and says “You see them as a team rather than as singles competing.” Co-creator Elise Doganieri noted that being on the show is “something that strengthens a team or tears them apart,” and adds of Rob and Amber, “I’m sure they had intimate discussions we didn’t hear, but they’re a strong team. They work well together.” Meanwhile, Survivor executive producer Mark Burnett said that he’s “working on their wedding” and, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, “He indicated it will air on CBS, the ‘Survivor’ network, possibly as a May sweeps special or as a short-run summer series.”
