Being in Kenya “opened [the Survivor Africa cast’s] eyes to a real struggle for survival played out every day in countries throughout the world — the battle against HIV/AIDS,” USA TODAY reports. Jeff Probst says he and Lex “weren’t prepared for what we found” when they visited the hospital to give them drugs and AIDS testing kits. That’s led the cast “to resolve to find a way to turn this tragedy around.” Right now, their efforts are primarily taking the form of an eBay auction of memorabilia that will benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
