Ethan Zohn is the winner of Survivor Africa, beating Kim Johnson in the final tribal council vote. Earlier in the episode, Kim won immunity and then Tom Buchanan was eliminated by a vote (contrary to CBS’ announced format of challenge eliminations), and then Kim won the final immunity challenge, and used her vote to eliminate Lex. The votes were revealed in a live studio, although it wasn’t noticeably a studio at first; there was no fatter-Colby, smoother-Tina redux, because the studio and contestants were made up to look almost exactly like they did when the show taped last year. Jeff Probst revealed the votes: 5 for Ethan (or Eathen, by Tom’s spelling) and 2 for Kim.
