ArchivesRich’s suit against R.I. dismissed.
Citing a lack of evidence that a state “agency violated his rights and damaged his relationship with” his son, a judge dismissed Rich’s lawsuit against Rhode Island, the Associated Press reports. Rich filed suit after charges that he abused his son (who was removed from his home) were dropped. “What this means is that it’s legal in Rhode Island for the Department of Children, Youth and Families to abuse children,” Rich told the AP.
