Entertainment Weekly’s year-end “Best Of 2000” double issue is full of reality TV mentions, especially for the CBS shows that set the standard and failed the test respectively. Citing Big Brother’s “infuriatingly obsequious” cast and the fact that “no one cared who ”won” … as long as it went away,” Entertainment Weekly named the CBS show the second-worst TV show of 2000. Maybe surprisingly, CBS’ other reality TV show did not get a “best of” mention. But an unofficial Survivor-focused Web site, survivorsucks.com, was named the second best Internet site. The official BigBrother2000.com was recognized as the second worst Web site. Also, Susan’s speech to Kelley got a nod as one of the best quotes a year; it’s reprinted in its entirety in the issue.
