ArchivesAmerica thinks Benji Schwimmer can dance, as the majority of the 16 million votes cast after So You Think You Can Dance 2’s finale were for him. He’s a swing dancer who’s dad is swing dancer Buddy Schwimmer, aka “The King Of Swing,” so clearly the ability to swing dance is genetic.
After winning, Benji started bawling, and said, “Thank you so much America.” As winner, he gets $100,000, and a role in Celine Dion’s Las Vegas production. She appeared on the show, via tape, to say, “I am delighted to be the first one to congratulate Benji on becoming America’s favorite dancer.”
Travis Wall came in second place for his dancing, which he describes as “contemporary” and “lyrical” but which the Calgary Sun calls jazz dancing.
