ArchivesMSN, which hosts the Rock Star web site, will again partner with the CBS series for its second season, hosting both repeats of the regular episodes and a unique, online-only episode.
The streaming episode will be a “behind-the-scenes unscripted drama [that] will allow viewers to
learn what it takes for the contestants to choose their songs and prepare for their weekly performances, and follow the characters as they develop and grow under enormous pressure,” according to an MSN press release. That appears to be the same “third” episode that last year was moved to VH1 after suffering low ratings.
The other two episodes—the performance show and the results show—will also be viewable online, In addition, the show’s web site will again offer “the opportunity to replay contestant performances, music downloads, profiles of contestants, and MSN Spaces contestant blogs.”
