Bret Michaels “pretty sure” he’s done with Rock of Love after three seasons
Rock of Love 3—which debuts on Sunday at 9 following a mid-fall delay in production because of a fatal accident caused by a crew member—will probably be the last dating show for Bret Michaels, but it may not be his last reality series.
“I can never say never, but I’m pretty sure that this kind of show is it for me,” Bret told the New York Daily News. However, he said he wants to do a docudrama-like show instead. “I’d like to do a hybrid of it where you come into my real life a little more — like a mixture of ‘Rock of Love’ and Gene Simmons’ ‘Family Jewels.’ I think the ups and downs and sideways of my life would be really interesting for people to see.”
As to the new season’s bus format—the 20 women will literally live on a tour bus as it travels around the country—Bret said it created a lot of drama. “Immediately, the entertainment value and the nuttiness was on level 10. I didn’t want my life, or the show, to become predictable, because what is great about dating and makes a dating reality show fun is the unpredictability of it all. This kept me on my toes,” he said.
