Rock of Love finale is VH1s second-highest rated 18-49 show; Heather blames editing
Rock of Love’s Sunday finale on VH1 gave the network its second-highest rated show ever among people ages 18 to 49. A total of 5.4 million viewers watched, according to The Hollywood Reporter, while 4.1 million of those were 18 to 49.
In terms of total viewers, that’s far fewer than the previous 18-49 record-setter, I Love New York. Its finale was watched by 7.5 million viewers, 4.9 million of whom were 18 to 49, the highest-rated 18-49 cable telecast ever.
Bret Michaels and the women—including his choice, Jess, and the woman he rejected, Heather—will reunite Sunday at 8 p.m. ET. Heather, who had Bret’s name tattooed on her neck, is publicly blaming the editing for the series’ final twist: Bret asked both women if they’d both date him, and Heather said yes while Jes said no. But Heather now says that was editing. On her MySpace blog, she writes (with an apparently broken keyboard), “I ABSOLUTELY, 100% DID NOT SAY I WOULD SHARE HIM.WE BOTH SAID NO..THAT WAS EDITED AND I AM SOOOO APPALLED BY THAT—AS IF THE STIPPER THING WASNT ENOUGH, (WHICH I QUIT DOING MONTHS AGO)—OR PRETTY MUCH NEVER SHOWING ONE BAD THING ABOUT JESS, I GOT RAN THROUGH THE COALS AND HEARTBROKEN ONCE AGAIN.”
