Road Rules site’s “Vote Maximization Project” says it has voted more than 16,000 times
Although Road Rules producers took away half of the interactivity with no explanation, viewers are still allowed to vote for the Pit Crew member they want to face off against the self-important assclown from the RV in a dangerous challenge (like last week’s, when producers gave the two guys goggles only after one had poked the other’s eye out).
One web site, Road Rules Revenge, has found a way to maximize its impact in that one remaining vote. The site has created a web application that allows multiple votes; it says “one person can submit 714 votes per day for a total 4998 votes a week.”
The site said in a post last week that there have been “modifications to the voting site since we first started” by MTV, including decreasing the frequency in which a vote can be submitted.
Still, an update to the original March 23 post says that 16,027 votes had been submitted in one week, while as of right now, more than 11,000 votes have been cast for Jerry to enter the pit.
