Archiveshas MTV’s Road Rules been cancelled?
MTV’s second reality series, and the first reality show to introduce a prize element, might be over. The official announcement about The Real World Austin failed to mention anything about Road Rules, whereas in the past, new seasons have been announced together. TV Tome’s page for the series says that after the 13th season, its status is now “On Hiatus/TBD.” Additionally, Bunim-Murray’s casting page only has announcements for Real World casting (although in the past the shows have been cast concurrently). Perhaps most damning is an anonymous report that comes to reality blurred. A person identifying themselves as a reality show producer writes, “according to my Bunim-Murray sources, Road Rules (the regular version) has been cancelled, at least for the time being.”
