The parents of the first openly gay man to be a cast member on Road Rules “aren’t exactly thrilled over” that distinction because “[t]hey are afraid … that homophobic viewers may try to hurt him,” the New York Post reports. Shane, who’s working as a waiter right now, says “I can’t help what other people think. I just hope I am [looked at as] The Loved One.”
