Jon Dalton sues Danny Bonaduce, FOX Reality Channel, producers, venue

If you imagined that the DA’s decision to not prosecute Danny Bonaduce meant the end of the saga that begn with his on-stage encounter with Jonny Fairplay, think again: Jon “Jonny Fairplay” Dalton has decided to sue Bonaduce.

He’s also decided to sue the FOX Reality Channel, which sponsored the award ceremony; the production company, Natural 9 Entertainment; and the venue at which this took place, Boulevard3. “Instead of immediately calling an ambulance to care for [Fairplay] or taking other action, the defendants — the television channel, the producers and the owner of the venue hosting the event — did nothing,” his lawsuit claims. TMZ has the full document [PDF], and says that Dalton is claiming “battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and negligent supervision.”

The lawsuit reads like great fiction, or at least a version of reality written by a soulless lawyer. It explains Fairplay’s behavior like this: “Mr. Dalton, in an effort to minimize the akwardness of Mr. Bonaduce’s unscripted interruption and unprovoked insults, playfully jumped into Mr. Bonaduce’s arms.”

Aw, poor baby; all he wanted was some love and instead he got his face smashed. The lawsuit does not mention the face humping or Dalton’s drunkenness. But as a result of both, he now wants monetary damages, asks for his expenses to be paid, and wants to be compensated for his earnings.
