Reviews for the relatively new DVD Reality Unleashed are in, and unfortunately, the film has nothing to do with S&M, as the title suggests. Instead, on the DVD, which was produced over the summer, a group of 14 reality TV personalities sit together for less than 90 minutes and talk about their lives and ever-enduring fame. Apparently, having the stars masturbate while staring at themselves in mirrors was rejected in lieu of this format. The stars include people you’ve already forgotten, such as Sarah Kozer (Joe Millionaire), Nathan Marlow (Big Brother 3), and Kim Powers (Survivor Africa). The Sun-Sentinel’s Phoebe Flowers writes that the DVD “brings with it a certain sense of shame. After all, it is you (or us) whose viewing habits deluded these people into believing others would care about their post-show ambitions.” DVD Talk also reviews both the DVD’s contents and its technical aspects, such as “the vomit-inducing color scheme.” Reviews at Amazon.com are kinder, such as the one that says “This is a wonderful reality TV star Tour de Force and should be in every Reality TV fan’s library!”
