Fox will launch reality TV network.
Fox is planning to launch a cable network devoted entirely to reality TV featuring both original series and recycled programs that once aired on Fox. Fox Reality Channel is “[s]cheduled to bow in the first quarter of 2005” and “is expected to combine original programming from Fox’s various production entities with Fox’s vast library of unscripted fare,” according to the Hollywood Reporter. The early 2005 debut puts the network’s launch at the same time as the projected launch of Reality Central, which was supposed to launch in 2004, and whose “partners have not convinced Time Warner Cable or Cablevision to carry the channel” yet, The New York Daily News reported last month.
