ArchivesReality Central launch delayed until later this year, but signs its first cable carrier.
Insight Communications is the first cable company to pick up the all reality TV network Reality Central. The cable company, which a press release says “is the 9th largest cable operator in the United States,” has 1.4 million subscribers in Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. Who knew that midwesterners were such earlier adopters? The network will only be included as part of that company’s digital cable offerings. The press release says the network “launches in 2004,” no longer specifying the first quarter; as TV Week reports, Reality Central “has delayed its planned spring launch until later this year.”
