Domino’s polls people about “cheesy” reality TV to promote new product.
In perhaps the most egregiously shameless and utterly irrelevant marketing tie-in ever, Domino’s Pizza conducted a poll to find out “the cheesiest reality television has to offer” in order to promote their newest non-pizza product, which involves cheese. Get it? Cheesy TV, cheesy crappy food. The survey’s findings: “28%…agree that the show that oozes the most cheese is FOX’s Temptation Island. NBC’s Joe Millionaire came in second with 22% of the votes. FOX’s Average Joe was third with 12%.” To discover this breaking news, Domino’s wasted the time of 1,190 people, plus 184 employees who should have instead been figuring out what marketing people they should fire over this asinine survey.
