Both Viacom, VH1’s parent, and David Gest have settled their lawsuits against each other (read Gest’s lawsuit or VH1’s countersuit) over the failed attempt to create a reality TV show based upon Gest and Minelli’s now-failed marriage, which, like the failure of the show, absolutely no one saw coming. A statement from the two parties doesn’t disclose terms, but David says he’s “pleased to be able to put this lawsuit behind me and focus on my business as a producer and promoter of entertainment events.” And Viacom says they’re “delighted to put aside our differences with Mr. Gest and his production company without resort to further litigation.”
