30-second ads on Survivor cost $418,750; Bachelor 2 charges $136,334.
The Futon Critic has compiled a ranked list of the “average price of a 30-second ad for fall 2002” TV shows. The list includes the prices for the three current network reality TV shows’ ads. Survivor Thailand ads cost $418,750, landing the show in third place; Friends and ER take the top two spots. At number 34, ABC’s The Bachelor 2 is the second most expensive reality TV show at $136,334 for a 30-second spot. Behind it is The Amazing Race 3 at number 61; its 30-second ads cost $96,112.
