Archivesstudy finds Big Brother 2, Osbournes have most objectionable content.
The Parents Television Council examined broadcast and cable reality TV shows to determine which shows are the cleanest and which are the most offensive. With “a combined average of 140.5 instances of offensive content per hour,” The Osbournes was cables most offensive reality TV show, while Bands on the Run has the most sexual content. Citing incidents including the Justin knife incident, the group found Big Brother 2 to be the most offensive show on a broadcast network, while Chains of Love had the most sexual content. The study examined shows for “three types of content: sexual references, foul language, and violence.” No Boundaries was found to be one of the “cleanest reality shows.” The study looked at the first four episodes of shows that aired from Jan. 1 to May 1 of this year.
