ArchivesCBS sued over unaired reality TV show “harness of pain” stunt.
CBS and Rocket Science Laboratories, the producers of Temptation Island, have been sued by participants in the pilot episode of a show called Culture Shock. According to The Smoking Gun, which publishes the lawsuit, the show “involved five couples competing in physical competitions, with the winning pair receiving as much as $75,000.” One of the members of the couple “was hoisted up in the ‘Harness of Pain,’ which left her screaming in ‘excruciating pain’ and in a cold sweat”; they say the “‘physical and emotional pain’ endured by Mouser and Russell was ‘far more than that which they had arguably bargained for.’”
