anthrax threat affecting mailed reality television show applications.
“[P]roducers of reality series and game shows began rethinking their decisions to ask contestants to apply by mail,” according to the New York Daily News. CBS isn’t sure how it will proceed with applications for Survivor and its other reality TV shows, while NBC’s Fear Factor isn’t opening mail at all, but will find contestants at open casting calls instead.
