Okay, so it’s technically not reality TV, but has there ever been more scintillating live television than last night’s coverage of the election? (And if you say Big Brother, we’ll know you were up too late and are clearly delusional.) After Florida was pulled from Al Gore’s column earlier in the evening, Bush pulled ahead in the electoral college numbers. Later, Florida was called for Bush, and Al Gore called him to concede. But then he withdrew his concession as Florida started to recount. Whoever gets Florida wins the election—even though Al Gore will likely end up with the majority of popular votes.
