redesign update: refresh your browser

Thanks for all the feedback on the new redesign, and for the comments. I’m already loving hearing from everyone in a civilized context. Two quick things: Before logging in to comment via Facebook, make sure your privacy settings will let you do that (easy instructions are here). Likewise, your Twitter account needs to have a real name associated with the username (like this). Otherwise, they show you as an anonymous person, and I won’t approve that comment. Tragic!

Second, of the site looks anything like this (thanks to a reader and his clever file naming for that screen shot), your browser is stubbornly holding on to old files even though they’ve changed, and mixing the old and new designs. Trippy. Anyway: Press CTRL and F5, or hold down CTRL while clicking refresh, and that will force it to behave. If not, clear your browser’s history and cache, and restart it, and you’ll be golden. Thanks for your patience, and all of the feedback.

Important

  • Read the reality blurred commenting policy before you post.
  • Comments require your real name and won't be posted without one. You can easily log in using the Facebook button or other services above; if you don't want to use an existing account, you'll need to create a Disqus account and, after posting your first comment, edit your Disqus account profile to include your real name under "display name."
