Archivesit’s reality blurred’s fourth anniversary.
Years before anyone had ever heard of Nick Denton or slobbered over Gawker, the web was home to a handful of topic-focused blogs, and reality blurred: the reality TV weblog, the first publication to report only on reality TV, was one of them. Today’s our fourth anniversary, and I use “our” just to make me sound like more than one person. From the site’s first non-beta post to today, 3,746 posts later, this site has brought you the latest reality TV news nearly every single day, except those days when I felt like sleeping in.
Thanks to all the reality TV fans, cast members, producers, journalists, and teenagers searching for naked pictures of Real World cast members, whether you’ve contributed info, linked to, advertised on, donated money to, wrote about, or otherwise interacted with reality blurred.
And as always, my enduring gratitude to those people who read every single day. You people rock. Now, if you’d like to stop sucking my bandwidth for free, how about buying the site an anniversary present? (What, do you think I’ve been covering reality TV whores for four years without their whoreness rubbing off on me? Besides, I really need an iPod.) Love, Andy.
