Queer Eye makes over Boston Red Sox.
Five members of the Red Sox are being made over for the next season premiere of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. The show is presently taping in southwest Florida, the region of our fine country where I grew up, and which is often referred to as “God’s waiting room,” and which is also home to the spring training site for the Boston Red Sox. Johnny Damon, Kevin Millar, Doug Mirabelli, Jason Varitek, and Tim Wakefield are all being made over by the Fab Five. Of the experience, Damon told the Naples Daily News, “We’re a loose bunch of guys. We have fun.” Jai Rodriguez, the useless member of the Fab Five, said of the players, “That’s what cool about them. You can relate to them. They’re guys’ guys.” The episode will air June 7.
