ArchivesQueer Eye will likely be renewed for 40 episodes, will tape outside New York.
Queer Eye for the Straight Guy’s production company and Bravo/NBC are “close to signing a mammoth renewal deal for a second season” of 40 episodes, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Deals are also underway to renegotiate the Fab Five’s contracts and repackage the show for airing on NBC. The show will begin taping seven new episodes next week to augment the initial 13, which have been exhausted. Those new episodes will start airing in Nov., with the second season possibly beginning next February. Also, the show may soon leave New York City and start making over straight men’s lives in places such as Texas and the Midwest.
