Queer Eye for the Straight Guy’s central cast member, Carson Kressley—you know, the bitchy guy whose eye the camera zooms into during the intro—will soon begin writing a twice-monthly fashion advice column for Us Weekly. Carson will “also be interviewing celebrities,” the New York Post reports. “The deal could be worth $500,000 annually, and will include some TV appearances about articles he has written for the magazine, industry sources” told the Post. Meanwhile, the first episode of the second season was the highest-rated show on cable among 18- to 49-year-olds and 25- to 54-year-olds, Bravo says in a press release. The show’s average of 2.2 million viewers was the network’s “fourth-largest overall audience” ever, and that number is “up 18 percent over the show’s average with first-run episodes over the summer (1.9 million) and up a whopping 173 percent over what Bravo has been averaging in the fourth quarter to date with” reruns.
