theme song video premieres tonight; UK Queer Eye looking for Fab Five.
The UK’s LivingTV is inviting the public to apply for its version of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, which is now in its second incarnation. (The first production company was fired after producing a few episodes.) The network is looking for “hipper-than-thou, funny and fabulously groomed gay men with a professional talent” who are “aged 25-40 and any ethnicity.” However, if you’re fabulously gay and just happen to have a talent related to one of the five areas, you need not apply, as they’re looking for “professionals first, gay second. We’re not looking to fill stereotypes.” Applicants also need not be verbose: you get only 100 words to describe “why you think you would be our best choice.” Stateside, tonight’s episode of Queer Eye will be a recap, and will be followed by the premiere of the “All Things (Just Keep Getting Better)” video. The Fab Five check back in with four of the men they’ve made over, and that 10 p.m. ET episode will be followed by “What’s That Sound: The Making of the Queer Eye Music Video” at 11.
