Project Runway 4

Tim Gunn isn’t signed for Project Runway 4, which can’t be filmed at Parsons until June

Bravo has yet to announce a renewal for a fourth season of Project Runway, but as it is the network’s number one show, it’s a safe bet it will return, as it’d be incredibly dumb for Bravo to not bring it back.

Another dumb thing would be to bring the show back without Tim Gunn, who is unquestionably its breakout star and the center of the entire series. However, he is “not under contract for a fourth season,” according to The Chicago Tribune’s Maureen Ryan. While Tim says he’d return “in a heartbeat,” he “makes no assumptions” about the future.

In addition, “filming most likely would not commence until Parsons The New School of Design, where the show is usually shot, has finished up its academic year in May.” The paper says Tim “noted that the school just wouldn’t have room for ‘Runway’ filming until the academic year was over.”

That’s in line with what Tim has said previously, that Bravo is shifting the series’ schedule so it will air in summers only. But Tim is also committed until summer because, he says, “Parsons pays my bills.” (Reading between the lines: Bravo does not.)
