ArchivesAfter being nominated for an Emmy, Project Runway is about to go global. FremantleMedia has picked up the rights to license the show internationally, selling both the US version and the format everywhere except the U.K. (which is already producing its version of the series), Canada and Italy.
Fremantle Intl. Distribution’s David Ellender tells Variety that broadcasters worldwide are already interested in the series. “High fashion is of interest to viewers around the world,” he said. “Because of our reach, with producers in 37 markets, we’re the only ones who can offer sort of one-stop shopping.”
