Project Greenlight 3

Project Greenlight 3 contest starts in Feb.; digital photo contest will be held.

Project Greenlight 3 contest starts in Feb.; digital photo contest will be held.
Tentative dates for Project Greenlight 3’s screenplay and directing contests have been posted on the show’s web site, with both contests “beginning on or about February 4, 2004 and ending on or about February 20, 2004.” For screenplays, they’re seeking “‘genre’ projects that have a powerful impact, like Horror, Thriller, Action or Comedy—projects that really grab the audience’s imagination and attention.” In other words, none of those boring-ass films that, like, challenge the audience. Those who work in digital photography can get in on the action this year, too: As part of its sponsorship of the series, HP is putting on the unnecessarily capitalized YOU Take Five digital photography contest. The five finalists whose five-photo narratives are selected from the entries in their regions will win “an all-expenses paid trip for two to the premiere of the next Project Greenlight movie, a walk down the ‘red carpet’ at the premiere, access to a private cocktail party hosted by HP and a suite of HP digital photography products.” The overall winner gets “an all-expenses paid trip from anywhere in the world to the set of the next Project Greenlight film to become the official on-set digital photographer of the movie,” plus HP stuff. Photos must be submitted by March 31.
