Bravo may pick up Project Greenlight 3 after HBO rejects third season.
HBO won’t continue with Project Greenlight for a third season, but Bravo “is deep in negotiations with Miramax and its production partner Live Planet” to pick up the show, Backstage.com reports. One reason: “the absence of a commitment from a third Live Planet principal, Chris Moore, to produce the [next] film.” Of course, the series wouldn’t be the same without him screaming the f word at the crew. It’s also not clear if Ben Affleck and Matt Damon will actively participate. Despite the fact that the series’ first two films didn’t do well at the box office, “Miramax chairman Harvey Weinstein and Live Planet principals Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are said to be less interested in the films’ earnings than in their ability to provide budding independent talent a shot at mainstream acclaim,” according to Backstage.com.
