Project Greenlight 2 debuts tonight at 10:30 p.m. on HBO, following the sixth season premiere of Sex and the City and an episode of The Wire. The one-hour premiere follows the narrowing of scripts and directors down to the final two winners. This weekend and next, two back-to-back half-hour episodes air; starting in July, just one half-hour episode will air on Sunday nights. As the film has been in production since March and the winners announced in January, the winners aren’t a secret, but stop reading if you want to be surprised. The screenplay selected was The Battle of Shaker Heights, which follows a high school kid who participates in World War 2 reenactments. Written by Erica Beeney, the film is being co-directed by Efram Potelle and Kyle Rankin.
