Project Greenlight 2

Erica Beeney says HBO cameras “did compromise some of my reactions.”
Erica Beeney, the writer of “The Battle of Shaker Heights” and one of the stars of Project Greenlight 2, says “the series is a ‘fair but exaggerated depiction’” of the production process. “All of the events that you see did occur, and certainly we did have creative differences. But the overall feeling on the set was never one of, this is a constant battle or anything like that,” she tells the Beacon Journal. She also says the cameras on set “did compromise some of my reactions,” because she “definitely felt that there were feelings and emotions that didn’t have a place on national television.” She says the final product, which hits theatres Aug. 22, is “a good movie.”
+ also: A. O. Scott says the show is inspiring to crew members, not directors, writers, and producers.
