indie director Pete Jones: “I wish they were more honest” with Greenlight.
Despite the not-so-fantastic reception to both his film Stolen Summer and his Project Greenlight appearance, Pete Jones says, “They’re trying to sell a TV show, I signed a deal that allowed them to do it, and in return I got a chance to make a movie.” However, he isn’t entirely happy with his portrayal on the show, as he tells the New York Times: “I’m not saying what happened wasn’t true, but they edited together some drama there. I wish they were more honest.” He’s now working as an independent filmmaker in Chicago, filming a movie he wrote and stars in called Doubting Riley, which is “about a gay Irish-Catholic man who shocks his family when he comes out.”
