Pop Idol 2 winner Michelle McManus responded to rumors that she’s a suicidal depressed drunk. “‘Apparently, I’m some manic depressive on Prozac who hates London, can’t cope with the lifestyle and is hitting the bottle,” she told the Sunday Mail. “‘Just because I haven’t been in the celebrity hangouts or falling out of nightclubs in front of the paparazzi, I’m supposed to be suicidal.” Instead, she says is “interviews and TV and photo-shoots. And I love it.” Two other Pop Idol 2 finalists are also loving life. Together, Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes have the number one song in the UK, a cover of the Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends.”
