ArchivesPop Idol 2 has more viewers than Fame Academy, which won the face-off.
The debut of Pop Idol 2 was watched by an average of 5 million viewers on Saturday night, with a maximum of 6.3 million viewers, the Daily Record reports. That was well over the 3.4 million that watched the BBC’s Fame Academy. However, the shows only aired opposite each other for 15 minutes, and during that time, the BBC says Fame Academy “had 0.1% more audience share during that period,” BBC News reports.
