Pirate Master cancelled; last five episodes are online

Debuting on the same day seven years after as its sibling Survivor launched did not help CBS’ Pirate Master. That it was a dumbed-down version of Survivor probably didn’t really help, and CBS officially cancelled it on Monday.

The show was moved to get out of Big Brother’s way, but when it began airing Tuesdays at 10 on July 10, it was only watched by 4.61 million viewers, Variety reported. That’s way down from the 6.99 million who watched the premiere.

The remaining five episodes, which have already been produced, will air on CBS.com, with a new episode released “every Tuesday,” the site says.
