ArchivesAfter facing a rough month that included its cancellation and the suicide of one of its cast members, Pirate Master finally came to an end yesterday.
The 14th episode aired online, and concluded with Ben Fagan defeating Christa DeAngelo, for which he won the $500,000 prize. Adding that to the other money he won, Ben walked away with $587,624. CBS has posted a written recap of the final episode, and, of course, all 14 episodes.
Christa won $70,416, but she just wanted the whole thing to end. “I’m just happy to be done with ‘Pirate Master.’ This whole week I haven’t eaten or slept because I couldn’t wait for it to be over,” she told The Morning Call. “I hated feeling judged by so many people. It’s not like you’re acting. You are yourself — in a game — on a pirate ship. I had a lot of local support, but online some people were really mean. I just had to stop [reading] the comments because I was getting too upset.”
