Paradise Hotel 2 contestant died after filming ended

One of the contestants on the upcoming revival of Paradise Hotel died after production was completed. Nathan Clutter died Oct. 12 after an accident unrelated to the series, and he will still be featured on the show.

In a statement reproduced by Reality TV World, Fox Reality and MyNetworkTV said yesterday,

“As Paradise Hotel 2 comes to air, we are saddened by the loss of Nathan Clutter, who passed away on October 12 of last year. The cast and crew, as well as Mentorn Productions and the entire Fox Reality Channel and MyNetworkTV families, join Nathan’s loved ones in mourning his loss and we hope that they are able to find some comfort in knowing that he touched everyone he encountered with his thoughtfulness and decency.”

Late last month, Broadcasting & Cable reported on his death at the end of a story on synergy between the two networks, saying he “was killed in a climbing accident” but “His family and the producers decided to keep his scenes in the full run of the episodes.”

The report also noted that the series faced problems during production, as “[a] hurricane and several tropical storms swept off the Gulf Coast during the first week of production and washed out all of the roads and the villa where the program is set.”
