Tori Spelling does not own the inn featured on her recently renewed Oxygen reality show

Tori & Dean: Inn Love, the Oxygen reality series that follows Tori Spelling and her husband Dean as they open a bed and breakfast, was renewed for a second season last week.

However, it’s possible someone could buy the inn out from under them before the second season airs. That’s because Tori and Dean “did not buy the property, and she did not use the entire $800,000 left to her by her father, the powerhouse Hollywood producer Aaron Spelling,” The New York Times reports.

A publicist for the show tells the paper, “It’s a lease, with an option to buy. She put down money of her own on the property, and part of her inheritance did go to that.” Still, a January Oxygen press release promised that they would “open their own bed & breakfast” and “invest Spellings $800,000 inheritance into opening an inn.”

It is definitely not their own, as the Times notes “the property remains for sale — for $2.6 million, according to an article that ran last month in The Fallbrook Village News, which first reported the discrepancy.” That paper reported that the “bed and breakfast property has been on the market for over 300 days and remains active.”
