Michael Vick’s dogs, Dale Earnhardt Jr., UFO hunters to be featured on reality shows

On tap to star in reality series are Michael Vick’s dogs and UFO hunters.

The National Geographic Channel will follow “the attempted rehabilitation of 22 dogs that belonged to jailed Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick and are now residing at Dogtown, the Best Friends animal sanctuary in Utah,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show airs Fridays at 9 and Vick’s former dogs will be featured in “new episodes set to premiere in the summer.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will star in his own five-episode ESPN2 series Dale Jr. — Shifting Gears, which debuts Feb. 8. The series “deals with Earnhardt moving from his late father’s Dale Earnhardt Inc. to Hendrick Motorsports” and “will delve into the reasons why Earnhardt left Dale Earnhardt Inc. and what has happened since in what Earnhardt said is ‘the biggest career decision I’ve ever made,’” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

SciFi will continue to follow people who investigate the paranormal with its new series UFO Hunters. A one-hour special will air Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET and follows the New York Strange Phenomena Investigators (NY-SPI), according to a press release. The new show is from the producers of Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International, but there’s no word if and when it’ll become a full series.
