ArchivesFOX’s experiment with airing a docudrama, the Laguna Beach-esque series Nashville that was produced by the same people who created the MTV show, did not go well. The show has been pulled from FOX’s schedule, although the network says it will return in October.
Nashville “averaged just 2.4 million viewers in its two appearances,” Variety reports, and its low 18-to-49 rating dropped in its second week.
While the show “will return sometime in October,” Variety says, it will be replaced with repeats of K-Ville in the short term. On Oct. 19, FOX’s new The Next Great American Band will air “several two-hour” episodes.
