Style Network buys old Extreme Makeover shows, airs marathon today

The Style Network has acquired the rights to Extreme Makeover, the Ty Pennington version’s precursor that featured makeover of people’s faces and bodies, not their houses. The show kicked off the self-makeover revolution that led to shows such as The Swan.

The cable channel “bought rerun rights to 55 hours of the ABC reality series,” Variety reports. Style will air an episode “every weekday evening at 7.”

The network is also airing a six-episode marathon of episodes starting today at noon, because there’s nothing more American and 4th of Julyish than people who are unhappy with their noses getting surgery to find the happiness they so desperately want.
