ArchivesCBS’ The Will debuts Saturday.
CBS’ new reality series The Will takes over the Saturday time slot once reserved for The Amazing Race when it debuts at 8 p.m. ET.
On the series, a man, Bill, will watch as his “family and friends will compete in both physical and mental challenges to win rewards and stave off elimination. The last person standing will claim the title of most deserving heir and win the ranch” that CBS calls “his most beloved possession.”
So, really, it’s not so much of a will as it is a land deed, and basically it’s just an excuse to destroy a family for our entertainment. Sounds great.
One of the 10 competitors is Bill’s fourth wife, Penny, who The Arizona Republic reports will “become (the break-out star),” according to producer Mike Fleiss, because “She figures prominently in every scene she’s in.” He says the series is “like eavesdropping on a great family argument at the next table at a restaurant. You’re getting to see the conflict that lies beneath the surface of every family and you’ll see it through the prism of this very strange game.”
